German Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, attributed to Frank & Reif, Stuttgart. This is a classic late-war zinc example with silver finish and beautiful patina.
Most of the silver finish is gone.

The badge features sharp detailing on the eagle, rifle, and oak leaf wreath. It retains its original hardware, including the solid hinge block, catch, and functional vertical pin – all characteristic of F&R construction.

No maker mark, as common with many F&R-issued pieces.
There are also variations of this design that were not made by F&R. Other possible manufacturers with similar features are Schauerte & Hohfeld (S.H.u.Co) or Otto Schickle (early).
